Black Rhino Foundation, Inc. Announces:
Summer Benefit With Lowen & Navarro

CHICAGO, IL - The Black Rhino Foundation, Inc. (BRF), a not-for-profit focusing on the preservation of African wildlife, specifically the highly endangered black rhino, is pleased to announce a benefit concert featuring Lowen & Navarro, June 8th, 1995, at Chicago's Park West night club. WXRT's Lin Brehmer will be hosting the event.

The evening will include Peat Moss opening for Lowen & Navarro as well as a live raffle drawing with a grand prize of two round trip airline tickets (within the continental United States) donated by American Airlines. The AAZK chapter of Lincoln Park Zoo is producing the raffle. Other sponsors include Platinum Technology, Rhino Chasers Microbeer, American Airlines, Danz Cookies and WXRT Radio.

Tickets for the event are $30.00 and are available at Ticketmaster, the Park West box office or through the BRF directly. A portion of the proceeds will be given to Anna Merz's Ngare Sergoi black rhino sanctuary in Isiolo, Kenya.

At present, the black rhino is on the brink of extinction. Over 90% of the species have been ruthlessly poached in the last 25 years. This is the fastest decline of any large mammal in recorded history. It is predicted that by the turn of the century the species will be extinct in the wild. The BRF is dedicated to preserving the black rhino in the wild.
