BRF Launches the Black Rhino Cookie Company "The Cookie that Cares!"

CHICAGO, IL - The Black Rhino Foundation, Inc. (BRF), a not-for-profit focusing on the preservation of African wildlife, specifically the highly endangered black rhino, is pleased to announce the launch of the Black Rhino Cookie® Company, a private label venture featuring gourmet, all natural, 4 oz. cookies available in two flavors, Safari Chocolate Chip and Jungle Oatmeal Raison.

The cause related cookie with the tagline, "Eat a cookie, save a rhino" adds consumer incentive to make a purchase and there by supporting rhino conservation programs in Africa.

The cookies will be available at zoo gift shops across the country, including Lincoln Park Zoo, in an effort to raise awareness and funds for the plight of the black rhino.

At present, the species is on the brink of extinction. Over 90% of black rhino have been ruthlessly poached in the last 25 years. This is the fastest decline of any large mammal in recorded history. It is predicted that by the turn of the century the species will be extinct in the wild. The BRF is dedicated to promoting and encouraging the preservation of the black rhino in the wild.
